One of the most important concerns of any community should be the health, safety and wellbeing of its children and young people. Children and young people should grow up free of violence and exploitation. They should be able to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially in conditions of freedom and dignity.
St Mary’s Parish School is committed to protecting children and young people while upholding their right to a safe and secure environment. There are numerous regulations and procedures put into practice in order to safeguard the students and their growth here at St Mary's Parish School.
All school staff receive regular training and information to enable them to respond to student protection concerns. St Mary’s Parish School also has School Student Protection Contacts who are nominated staff members to whom students can raise concerns of abuse, harm or inappropriate behaviour.
Our Student Protection Contacts are Mr Brett Pollard, Mrs Emma Farrow and Mrs Kristina Griffiths
